Mission Statement

In the past, most new medical information was disseminated via printed journals. These journals had lead times in excess of 6 months, and these magazines were funded by advertising. Advertisers could have the unintended consequence of affecting the subject matter published. Many times busy clinicians noticed that the journals had a preponderance of advertising for a particular disease, and then all the studies were about that particular disease.

The severe format required of the studies were a potential obstruction to many clinicians who had good information, but were not scholars. Insecurities about the footnotes, references, and the statistical analysis caused many bearers of new medical data to hesitate to submit this information for fear of being embarrassed or rejected.

Technology is the new driver for information. Today we can learn and/or discover new information and publish it the same day in a blog or on a website. For a busy clinician, however, those forms do not carry any assurance of validity or clinical value.

There was a "gap".

We are filling that gap by offering a medium whereby any clinician can submit a study with a simple format, and have it peer reviewed and passed on by a board member of the College for validity and relevance. This study can be published within the next quarterly cycle. If we find that we can fill the Journal monthly, then we will expand to a monthly publication which will further reduce the lead time from submission to publishing

We do not require the common acedemic format. We are more the "Reader's digest" of new medical information. You will find on the
"Submit a Study" link, a simple, who, what, where, how, and why, "fill in the blanks format" to simplify the process. You will write a short narrative paragraph for the introduction as an "abstract", and following the presentation of the data itself, write a final paragraph that explains the clinical significance and application for the clinician.

As a researcher, you can quickly scan the abstract and the clinical significance paragraph and determine if the study is of interest to you. You can be assured that the study has been peer reviewed for validity and relevance.

As an additional feature of this Journal, you will find a link for "Anecdotal Reports". This game changing Journal section allows for the posting of a medical observation in a single paragraph, moderated like a chat room, only for a serious post. With this new format, clinical observations can be presented with the sole purpose of offering an opportunity for further study and future publishing.

We have no advertising. There is no charge for submitting a study or an anecdotal report. Clean, simple, and effective.

We fully expect to lead the way for other journals to serve the medical community more effectively.

This Journal is funded by the tuitions generated by seminars, classes and Board Certifications. For a list of our upcoming events, please visit our "Upcoming Events" page.
